Community Clean Up

This cleanup is to honor Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and also my grandfather, the mayor of The Promised Land, Thomas Livsey. My grandfather had to walk 9 miles to Lithonia to go to school, each day. Black children in Southern Gwinnett didn’t have options for schooling in the 30’s and 40’s, he made it to the 9th grade but because of him I was able to graduate college.

The cleanup will start around the Promised Land, we will have all the supplies you need plus light snacks and drinks.
