PLEASE READ CAREFULLY. THIS IS A LEGAL DOCUMENT THAT AFFECTS YOUR RIGHTS.
1. Volunteer Status
1.1 I, the undersigned, acknowledge and agree that I am voluntarily offering my services to The Chad Livsey Project (“the Organization”) as a volunteer. I understand that my participation is completely voluntary and that I will not receive any compensation or benefits for my services.
2. Assumption of Risk
2.1 I am aware that volunteering for the Organization may involve a range of activities, some of which may be hazardous or may carry inherent risks, including but not limited to physical injury, illness, or death.
2.2 I fully understand and acknowledge that my participation in these activities is at my own risk. I accept all risks and hazards associated with my participation, whether known or unknown, and I am solely responsible for my own safety and well-being.
3. Release and Waiver of Liability
3.1 In consideration of being allowed to volunteer for the Organization, I, on behalf of myself, my heirs, assigns, and legal representatives, hereby release, discharge, and hold harmless the Organization, its officers, directors, employees, agents, and affiliates from any and all claims, actions, causes of action, demands, liabilities, or damages, of any kind or nature, arising out of or in connection with my participation in volunteer activities, including, but not limited to, claims for personal injury, illness, property damage, wrongful death, or any other losses, whether caused by negligence, breach of contract, or otherwise.
3.2 I understand and agree that this waiver includes any claims based on the actions, omissions, or negligence of the Organization, its officers, directors, employees, agents, and affiliates, whether arising before, during, or after my participation in volunteer activities.
4. Indemnification
4.1 I agree to indemnify and hold harmless the Organization, its officers, directors, employees, agents, and affiliates from any and all claims, actions, suits, procedures, costs, expenses, damages, and liabilities, including attorney’s fees, brought as a result of my participation in volunteer activities and to reimburse them for any such expenses incurred.
5. Medical Treatment
5.1 I hereby consent to receive medical treatment deemed necessary by the Organization in the event of injury, accident, or illness during my participation in volunteer activities. I understand and agree that I am solely responsible for all costs related to such medical treatment, and I release the Organization from any liability related to the provision or coordination of such medical treatment.
6. Photographic Release
6.1 I grant the Organization permission to use any photographs, videos, or other media of me taken during volunteer activities for promotional purposes, including but not limited to social media, websites, newsletters, and other marketing materials.
7. Governing Law
7.1 This Waiver and Release of Liability shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the state in which the Organization is registered.
8. Severability
8.1 If any provision of this Waiver and Release of Liability is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
